WILD HOPE NEWS & Cover Reveal!
After praying about it, I am pushing my #WildHope pub date back.
I felt this way from the get-go so I’ve not been loud about sharing book two, but then I forgot I shared a graphic with my newsletter subscribers (you?!?) with the Jan 22 date. I put off making a decision so I could hear right, and prayed again but felt God lead me to swallow my pride and admit I need more time if I want to do this right.
I will admit this is hard, but I am learning I need more time than what I give myself. Not to write, but the after stages. It’s so much to take in, and being a hands-on learner I think it may have been the only way for me to grasp just how much work goes into this.
Pre-writing | Writing | Beta Readers | Changes | Editor | Changes | ARC Readers | Changes Sometimessss | Publish whoaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!
I am going through the edited manuscript now but was not satisfied with the ending which means I have to go through and make some changes. Typically development isn’t something you touch after it goes to the editor but I have to take her advice and listen to my gut as well. I would rather take the bullet now than later.
Having said that–once this process is through, I will be ready for my ARC readers.
I am looking at pushing it back at least until 2/11. Will keep you updated.
Keep me in your prayers. It means a lot to me that I do my best. I am still grateful for self-imposed deadlines or I would take fooorrrevever LOL.
The book cover is amazing and thank the Lord my summary won’t be affected. My hope is the few changes will make the book come together in such a way readers won’t scratch their chin or get frustrated at rushed pacing. That was never my intention but my beloved editor pointed some things out I didn’t catch, and again–I did not have time for Beta readers which I am learning some indies do, some don’t….and maybe I will fall into the category of ones who need them, haha!
Check this cover out.
Now let’s get that story in shape 100%.
Kat if you’re reading this, I still think the butt in chair/writing was easier with book two–but I can see now it takes a village to make a book great.
Thank you all for being awesome and gracious through all this. I appreciate your support more than you know! – Meg
