Last week I wrote about being tired and then my kids had three days off from school which had its perks, like sleeping in if we wanted. I still get up early but give myself a bit longer, but it’s funny to me how they wake up on their own knowing there’s no school. Then on days they have to get up, it’s more challenging to get them out the door. Each child has a unique personality so it’s not blank and white, but you get the point. #Nutso
Either way, I am grateful for the break God gave us right after sharing about how fatigued I became. And then I deleted 10,000 words of my novel because not allowing myself to do it was robbing me of freedom. Freedom to write the way the book was now going with the included changes. Whew. And soon we will talk more about pruning because I have two book reviews coming up, and one includes this very topic.
By the way, I hope you are doing well this week. Did you have anything exciting happen? If not, that can always be a nice thing too! We were grateful my husband was spared. One icy cold morning after work, he spun on a patch of ice and slammed into a pole, but the pole blocked him from falling down into a ravine.
And he also provided other days, my husbands call-in hours meshing appropriately with our families needs at the time. I am always amazed by God’s way of working things out when I don’t even know what to pray.
