Make Time To Write
Are you a mom who wishes she could find the time to write?
Are you looking for a refreshing community where you can receive encouragement, share experience, laugh, and discover new resources?
You are in the right spot then…
What if you could steadily make progress from a place of rest rather than stress?
What if you could find a system that works for you rather than against you and actually propel you forward more than any of the striving ever has?
What if you could walk in your calling without feeling overwhelmed by outside pressures all the time?
In my free course, I will walk with you through a 10-week period where you will focus on the foundational issues of learning to write from a place of rest rather than rush.
Focuses include but are not limited to:
- Making time for what matters.
- Learning how to deal with distractions.
- Recognizing your style & pace.
- Infusing faith into your work day.
Who this course is for:
- It’s for the person who is doing everything but the one thing they for sure feel led to be doing.
- It’s for the person who doesn’t want to try to do it all anymore, because when they are overloaded, they want to walk away.
- It’s for the devotional style-loving person, who gains from practical & spiritual growth.
What this course is not:
- A program on how to start a blog.
- A how to for WordPress, Blogger, & other platforms.
- A perfect formula on how to be a writer.
Writing from Rest is a course inviting you to turn off the pressures of the world and walk a bit slower as you make room for what matters. Learn to deal gently with your own heart & to listen to the One who loves you most.
Many of us in this community were right where you are now. And maybe you aren’t as overwhelmed by all the options, social media, and goals as we were – but I truly believe this course is valuable even still.
If you have found yourself in a busy jam lately and feel like you’ve lost your love of blogging or writing.
If you feel like you need a new direction, this course could be for you.
Swim in the sea of possibilities as we dip into 4 key elements all rooted in faith.
“Writing from rest is like moving forward on a fully charged battery.”
It was a chilly January morning. The covers came up over my head as I struggled to accept a new day. Sleep was a wonderful gift that when going through a wilderness, could act as an escape. I was frustrated that fear was holding me back but I didn’t know how to overcome it when it came to writing and sharing things.
I felt as if whatever decision I made would be the wrong one. Talk about having faith trouble.
I had already obeyed the call to write but now here I was, declaring out loud how great this was going to be when inwardly I was frozen.
My faith needed a good thawing.
I had just come out of a two-month blog break which was much needed due to family hardships, and though my faith seemed to be on the edge of a cliff, dangling in mid-air – I knew I needed to step outside of my comfort zone if I was ever going to grow.
As I practiced the butt-in-chair method and just wrote, God did a work in me by allowing me to look back on my own words and see that I was not a hopeless case after all. It was like a movie before my eyes: me staring at the typography and hearing encouragement – only, I had just wrote it.
There is power in words, friends.
This is why I adore the Psalms. I love how those writers pour their heart, hurt and soul into being real with their-self and God.
It was the beginning of a new adventure. I typed through my issues and it turned into a 9 week series.
I call it “course” to be technical, but really it is weekly encouragement: A digital devotional with challenges. I hope you like it and I am still adding to it as we speak. I appreciate feedback always. And know that I am praying for you.
