A 31 day journal for the easily overstimulated humans.
(Because we exist, and we desire to live well. Not just hide well.)
The Dwelling Place has always existed, though I have not always visited.
- It is the place we go when we can’t just go.
- It is the place where we meet with Holy Spirit.
- It is the place where we are stilled.
- It is the place which gives us a moment’s peace.
- It is the place we live from.
Less escaping. More embracing.
Never closed for the season. Never overbooked.
Never not prepared for our arrival.
Always welcomes with open arms.
This place is not a thing but a face.
our Dwelling Place.
The Dwelling Place | 31 Days of Real Life Getaways | Day #2
I can almost tell where the next few minutes will go
if I let my mind wonder but not in the wonder woman way.
Like squinting in sunlight, eyebrow cupped over
I glance left or right at the nearby crossroads.
What thoughts I entertain in the stressful situation
will determine the next moments’ destination.
Not-so-wonder-woman won many battles,
but the less I fight the more I can surrender.
And it’s in the surrendering where my flesh
looses to my Father’s unending reaching out.
It can’t fight his love.
It can’t fight to have it’s own way
It can’t have control over every waking moment.
I lay down control and come alive.
Keep truth coming in.
Keep truth rolling out.
1 Corinthians 2:16 Easy-to-Read Version
16 “As the Scriptures say,
“Who can know what is on the Lord’s mind?
Who is able to give him advice?”
But we have been given Christ’s way of thinking.“
This was day #2…
